The Medina Social Club was born out of the friendship between Jacques and Sylvie, a French couple who have fallen in love with the Medina, and the young people from the Soleil de Fes Association. Having organised many cultural and creative events together, they decided to create a place for cross-cultural action, social diversity and artistic creativity. The Medina Social Club was born.
in 2009 by a group of young people from the Medina with the support of the Director of the French Institute at the time, Jean Dedolin, the Association aims to promote arts and culture in Fez, while nurturing creative talents from the Medina. Thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of its members, the Soleil de Fes Association has organised a host of events and activities over the past ten years. For more info on the association, visit Soleil de Fes’s facebook page (link), or check out the upcoming events (link) at the Medina Social Club.

Situated on a quite alleyway between the two ‘main roads’ of the old town, Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira, it offers an oasis of tranquility among the buzz and excitement of the souks (markets). We can also arrange guided tours of the medina and Fez (link) to help you discover this unique place.
The maze-like streets of the old town, one of the largest pedestrian-only areas in the world, can be a challenge to navigate for first time visitors, but do not worry, we offer a pick-up service from the airport or train station with our trusted drivers for a reasonable price. Please get in touch (link to contact page) for more details. If you would rather make your own way to us, you can take a taxi to Aïn Zliten car park. From Aïn Zliten, turn left onto Talaa Kebira Street. Walk down the street for about 5 minutes, until the intersection. Go right and follow the signs to the Medina Social Club.
